raspberries redone

I took the photos from my previous raspberries on a stick post and messed around in a computer program that is sort of like Adobe Illustrator.  I could play all day long with this program!

raspberries on a stick

I'm not exactly sure what this is, but it sure does look like raspberries are growing on a stick.  I just found these photos that I took a couple of years ago and I am in love with the colors!  I love the neutral color palette with the pops of plum and turquoise...what a great color story!  I have always been a color lover...it is a must that I have color in my life.  Whether it's in my wardrobe, in interior spaces or in nature,  I am always drawn to colorful things!  Speaking of fashion, rumor has it that bright colors are in this season!  Well actually, the rumor is true.  Good thing I work at Ann Taylor Loft....

millie

Meet Millie.  She's my best friend's bundle of joy.  Millie is a Boston Terrier who loves all the attention she can get.  She also loves to play tug-o-war, swim in the creek and most of all, snore in her sleep.

hiding under a rock

It has been a pretty hectic Summer. I've been trying to soak in my mind that I will no longer be in school and that it is time to find a job, which is definitely a job itself! I've also been to the beach several times, working my part-time job, working at yet another internship, spending time with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors and everything in between. Now that it's the end of Summer, I am really looking forward to Fall, as I always do! As I type this, I am working on my first freelance project for an outdoor living room space..I am pretty excited since this is my first design project since school! We'll see how it goes!

tomato, tomahto

One of my favorite things about Summer is the home-grown produce, especially tomatoes!

roses are red, violets are blue

I love fresh cut flowers. These photos are taken of my Aunt's roses that she picked from her rose garden.

a mind full of squiggles

It's that time of year again! End of semester projects! If you could look into my mind right now, it would be full of a jumbled mess. I only have one more week left until my final studio project is done. Let's hope I can make it 'til then....

anthro photos

Anthropologie is just beautiful in every way possible. It is also a place that provides great photo opportunities! I could literally stay in the store all day just drawing and taking photos....

time to celebrate the greenest day of the year

It's official. Today is the day we see lots of green and perhaps a beer (maybe even a green beer) in hand. So, go get yourself a Guinness and celebrate! It's St. Patrick's Day, of course!
and since it is the greenest day of the year, this post couldn't be done without a little green itself!

art in art

My brother made these sculptures while he was in college. One weekend I came across them when visiting his house, so I took some photos. I think the photos could be a piece of artwork itself....what do you think!?

it's all about the details

My internship is going quite lovely, so far. I am really enjoying the creative environment and the fact that you can use this skill in practically everything you do! The photos above are details of installations that have been completed! Stay tuned for the next post, which will show the final product!

my friend bobby

If there is one thing I couldn't live without, it would be bobby pins! I practically use these things everyday of my life. There are times when I don't know what I'd do without them. Thank you, to the person who invented these magnificent little things...

rufus the doofus

Meet Rufus. He's still a little guy, but is growing right before your very eyes. There is one thing I have in common with Rufus...and that is...sleeping. We both love to sleep. If we could sleep all day, then we would. The only difference is Rufus doesn't have any responsibilities, so sleeping all day wouldn't affect him. Oh, the life of a dog.

nick nacks

A new year, with a new sketch! It was, indeed a busy 2010. Now, I am looking forward to what 2011 brings. A lot of new things are happening already. My very last semester of college just started this week and pretty soon I will be starting my internship with Anthropologie! I have a feeling I will be just as busy this year...we'll see how it goes!
